As a company specializing in cabinetry, hardwood flooring, architectural millwork and interior design in Atlanta, Insidesign was naturally interested in the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s (NKBA’s) recent “2012 Kitchen & Bath Style Report.” For those of you thinking about updating your kitchen this year, we wanted to share some of the trends you should know about:
- Dark kitchen cabinetry finishes are in vogue for stained cabinets, while white remains the top color for painted cabinets.
- Glass is growing in popularity as a material for backsplashes in the heart of the home.
- Energy-efficient light-emitting diode (LED) lighting is also on the rise.
These findings were based on the NKBA’s recent “2012 NKBA Design Trends Survey.” Are you drawn to any of these current kitchen design trends? Leave a comment to let us know!
